Summary
The Quality Inspector position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in quality assurance and quality control. The ideal candidate will have experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, as well as a solid foundation in analysis skills and math. A high school diploma or GED is required for this role. Additionally, familiarity with QA/QC processes and procedures is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting quality audits, performing quality inspections, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The Quality Inspector will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of products through meticulous inspections and adherence to quality management systems.

Duties:

  • Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process, 1st piece, 2nd piece, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers
  • Math Skills, decimals and fractions are required.
  • Perform visual inspections to identify any defects or abnormalities in the products
  • Document inspection results and maintain detailed records of quality control activities
  • Conduct quality audits to assess adherence to quality systems and procedures
  • Collaborate with production to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications or education in quality assurance is a plus
  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector or similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and conducting accurate measurements
  • Familiarity with QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) principles and practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or abnormalities in products
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Willing to train the right person
